JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably Degree / Other Professional Qualification in Accounting / Economic / Banking / Finance / Business Studies or Others related field.
  • Preferably with 5 years experience with specific emphasis in corporate and commercial & administration and credit processing
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Require supervisory experience years in a similar work situation, including demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and organize service delivery, establish goals and objectives while mentoring and developing staff.
  • Pleasant personality, good communication skills, interpersonal skills and courteous.
  • Basic computer literate.
  • Preferably with Certified Credit Professional (CCP) / Professional Credit Certification (PCC) is essential and related to the nature of work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solicit new business opportunities and responsible to process originate, structuring and executing SME Financing applications.

BUSINESS DELIVERABLES

  • Structure, process and evaluate client credit risks and propose financing facilities for credit committee approval in line with the Bank’s credit policy and procedures as well as external banking regulations.
  • Perform high quality underwriting documents and/ or credit proposals with astute identification of risks, timely credit review and customer’s compliant to all terms and conditions imposed by the Bank.
  • Marketing and managing relationship with potential clients to pitch for new business opportunities.
  • Managing existing commercial/SME relationship and call on existing clients periodically to solicit new business and to maintain a full understanding of key client development that may affect the Bank’s credit evaluation.
  • Follow up to ensure timely repayment of Bank financing facilities by customers.
  • Maintain proactive monitoring of credit quality through early problem financing/ assets recognition and develop and implement plans for remedial action for accounts of which their risks have become unacceptable, and to transfer those accounts for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Collect, check and to ensure the relevant financial statements are submitted regularly and all facilities are reviewed periodically according to the classifications of account, and such classifications are reviewed immediately once there are any adverse changes in the customer’s positions.
  • Perform any duties and responsibilities related to the department’s scope of activities
  • To comply with the Bank’s policies as well as BNM’s guidelines and other policies and guidelines deem appropriate at any time.
  • Direct liaison with the credit support team, shariah team, legal team and the Bank’s panel solicitor’s to ensure timely completion of security documentations, facility disbursement and maximum facility utilization.
  • Direct liaison with various business channels as well as other departments within the Bank.

RISK AND COMPLIANCE

  • Monitor and ensure compliance of the relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws including Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of unlawful Activities Act 2001 (“AMLA”) etc.
  • Manage a culture that emphasizes and demonstrates the importance of internal control to ensure adherence to the Bank’s routine at all times.

  • Implement policies, systems, processes and procedures so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices on improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

  • To comply with the OHS act 1994 including:-

a) “to take reasonable care for the safety and health of himself and of other persons who may be affected by his acts or omissions at work”; b) “to co-operate with his employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the employer or that other person by this Act or any regulation made thereunder; c) “to wear or use at all times any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer for the purpose of preventing risks to his safety and health; and d) “to comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health instituted by his employer or any other person by or under this Act or any regulation made thereunder”.
