Responsibilities
IFRS17 Reporting & Process Enhancement
- To prepare and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of monthly IFRS17 reporting for data preparation and reserve analysis.
- To ensure proper documentation of IFRS17 reporting process SOP.
- To prepare the financial statement under IFRS17 basis.
- To work closely with auditor to ensure our IFRS17 position is compliance to standard.
- To liaise with project team, Finance and IT department to ensure that IFRS17 requirements are well-integrated into overall system design
- To develop the model validation requirement for IFRS17 and share with modelling team.
- To validate on the consolidation of non-modelled products in reporting process.
- To enhance the actuarial IFRS17 reporting process to meet t + 5 timeline.
- To assist in building reporting template under IFRS17 standards and ensure that the process is ready to meet RO submission requirement
- To work on end-to-end process UAT testing if there is change in system design.
Prophet Modelling Support
- To support the maintenance and testing of Prophet actuarial models.
- To assist in model enhancements, new product implementation, and documentation.
- To perform model validations and reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy.
- To contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance model efficiency.
Annual Experience Study
- To conduct the company’s annual experience studies to access the reasonableness of the current assumption and to revise the assumptions whenever deemed necessary.
- To ensure compliance to regulatory regulations, rules and guidelines on work being performed and any regulatory submission.
Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science or similar; passing of preliminary actuarial examinations.
- 1 year of work experience in Actuarial, preferably with Prophet modeling experience.
- Competent use of tools such as spreadsheets, Prophet valuation software, generative AI.
- Knowledge of actuarial principles, spreadsheet management, data extraction programming, Prophet actuarial software, and Visual Basic for Excel.
