Job Description

We are seeking an Analyst to join our OTC Derivatives Settlements Operations team on a 12 month contract. In this role, you will manage critical settlement operations for Rates & Credit Derivative transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Working hours : 4.00PM -1.00AM

What will you do?

  • Manage the full settlement lifecycle of OTC Credit and Rates Derivative products across bilateral and cleared trades.
  • Process OTC Derivative payments and settlements in Murex with meticulous attention to detail. You will manage Murex payment workflow queues daily, building your expertise to ensure that the correct system action is taken and payments are processed correctly downstream.
  • Pre-confirm large cashflows with clients to prevent settlement issues and ensure accuracy on payment terms. Perform callbacks with clients to ensure 100% accuracy on SSI’s.
  • Identify and resolve cash breaks through systematic investigation and root cause analysis. Proactively liaise with Front Office and Middle Office partners to resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Expand and deepen your knowledge of OTC Derivatives to become a best-in-class business partner for all functional stakeholders
  • Adhere to controls and procedures to minimize operational errors and detect anomalies early. Escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders when circumstances warrant immediate attention
  • Manage unmoveable deadlines consistently across multiple settlement currencies and payment obligations. Prioritize effectively to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize AI to proactively explore process improvements and automate manual processes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate 's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas, pivot tables, and analyze data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.

Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience with Murex
  • Relevant experience or knowledge in OTC Derivatives products
  • Experience working in payments or Operations
  • Proficiency with AI tools
