Job Purpose

The position is part of the Premise Management Team located at East Coast Integrated Depot.

Responsibilities

The list is not exhaustive.

  1. Be the first line of response to all operational issues.
  2. Perform simple handyman repair works within the Premise.
  3. Manage maintenance to building facilities services which include electrical, mechanical and facilities equipment.
  4. Provide supervision and lead all maintenance and system takeover activities.
  5. Ensure all work performed by personnel and contractors are carried out in a safely manner.
  6. Ensure all work carried out are in accordance with Work Instruction.
  7. Responsible for building/facility services, system operations and maintenance program.
  8. Responsible for conducting preventive and corrective maintenance program.
  9. Manage minor work repair/rectification to building or equipment.
  10. Troubleshoot operational and maintenance problems for all facilities equipment and building services system.
  11. Conduct regular inspection on existing building equipment and its serviceability status.
  12. Conduct regular preventive maintenance program to building equipment and services.
  13. Liaison with OEM/System Contractor for all building services.
  14. To achieve effective, economical and safe work operations of all building services.
  15. Provide feasible solution and coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering function requirement.
  16. Liaison with stakeholder(s) on all maintenance program ensuring minimum disruption to their operations.
  17. Supervise and audit on subcontractor for equipment maintenance and rectification.
  18. Assist to source for competitive vendor/supplier to carry out facility maintenance/repair work.
  19. Report all incidents, call-in and major maintenance activities on daily basis.
  20. Maintain and update documentation pertaining to facilities related work orders.
  21. Track system performance and liaise with production and system engineer towards minimal equipment downtime.
  22. Prepare and submit monthly facilities maintenance/repair report.
  23. Provide training to technician/technical officers, and junior staff as necessary.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  1. Diploma in Project management, Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Building Services / Facilities Management with up to 3 years of relevant working experience or
  2. Higher NITEC / NITEC in Project management, Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Building Services / Facilities Management and more than 4 years of relevant working experience

Skills

  1. Able to lead and supervise a team;
  2. Must be self-motivated, resourceful, organized, independent and possess strong interpersonal & communication skills;
  3. Able to communicate effectively and good team player;
  4. Able to read simple electrical circuitry and engineering drawing;
  5. Able to to perform repair works at height with ladder and/or scaffold;
  6. Able to carry repair or maintenance related tools and equipment of weight not more than 20kg;
  7. Able to work independently;
  8. Able to work effectively under pressure;
  9. Able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities;
  10. Able to work rotational shift;
  11. Willing to work at night, weekends and/or public holidays;
  12. May be redeployed to other facilities/projects to suit the needs of the Organisation;
  13. Staff may be redeployed to other facilities/projects to suit the needs of the Organisation.
