Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve departmental goals and contribute to catering revenue targets.
  • Monitor account revenue and business production for corporate, social, government, and association segments.
  • Identify and maximize upselling opportunities.
  • Attend promotional events and actively promote the hotel's catering and event services.
  • Conduct site inspections for prospective clients and events.
  • Cross-sell hotel facilities and services, including other Shangri-La properties where applicable.
  • Assist with catering revenue forecasting and business planning.
  • Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate client profiles and utilize the Delphi account management system.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and sales activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Events teams during negotiations and event planning.
  • Attend pre-event and post-event meetings and perform post-event follow-up.
  • Foster positive working relationships across departments.
  • Ensure awareness of hotel hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • College graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Strong competencies in business development, administration, communication, and event management.
