Assistant HR Manager (Total Rewards)
The Assistant Manager (Total Rewards) will support the design, administration and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, payroll and performance-related programmes in the Company. The role partners HR Business Partners, business units and external vendors to ensure rewards practices are competitive, compliant, data-driven and aligned with business needs and employee experience.
Responsibilities
· Support the HR Manager in reviewing, designing and implementing Total Rewards and HR projects, including performance management, compensation and benefits, salary framework, career development and HR digitalisation initiatives; partner HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, resolve operational issues and identify opportunities for harmonisation, process improvement and automation.
· Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the Company, ensuring payroll accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality and compliance with internal controls; ensure payroll, compensation and benefits administration comply with MOM, CPF, IRAS and other relevant statutory requirements, company policies and audit standards.
· Manage annual compensation cycles, including salary review, promotion, market adjustment, and variable bonus proposals, with sound analysis and proper governance; participate in salary surveys, market benchmarking and job evaluation exercises to support competitive, equitable and sustainable pay practices.
· Analyse market data, internal compensation trends and industry practices to provide practical recommendations to HR Business Partners and business units; review and maintain compensation structures, total rewards policies, benefits guidelines, allowances and related SOPs to ensure consistency, transparency and governance.
· Manage employee benefits administration, including medical, insurance and welfare programmes; support renewals, vendor coordination, negotiation and employee communications; plan and execute employee well-being, recognition and staff welfare initiatives that support engagement and reinforce the company’s values.
· Support HR systems and digitalisation initiatives, including performance management and rewards-related platforms, from requirements gathering and user acceptance testing to communication and implementation.
· Guide, coach and mentor team members, ensuring clear work standards, knowledge sharing and timely delivery of assigned responsibilities; perform any other duties or HR projects as assigned by the superior or management from time to time.
Job Requirements
· Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related discipline
· Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience and strong exposure to Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, payroll administration and/or performance management.
· Prior supervisory experience in guiding, coaching or leading HR team members.
· Good working knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and statutory requirements, including MOM, CPF and IRAS regulations, with hands-on experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, salary review, bonus exercises, salary benchmarking and HR reporting.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data, prepare management reports and make practical recommendations; proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with HRIS, payroll systems and digital HR platforms, with experience in system implementation or enhancement projects being an advantage.
