ASSISTANT MANAGER - FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients. Participate in meetings to understand operational needs and expectations.
- Maintenance & Technical Oversight:Plan, coordinate, and oversee repair and maintenance activities carried out by technicians, vendors, and contractors across multiple sites, including building systems, landscaping, and janitorial services. Ensure all work orders are executed efficiently and completed to required standards.
- Multi-Site Supervision:Oversee daily maintenance operations and supervise technicians across multiple properties/sites, ensuring consistency in service delivery, compliance, and performance.
- Facility Inspections:Conduct routine inspections across assigned sites and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Moves, Adds & Changes:Manage and coordinate all facility-related moves, additions, and changes.
- Procurement & Project Management:Source and evaluate quotations for parts, services, and labour. Manage maintenance-related and capital projects, including budgeting and cost tracking.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships. Ensure vendors comply with work order processes, billing procedures, and proper cost allocation.
- Technology Utilisation:Use systems such as work order platforms, email, and ESS for daily operations, reporting, and communication.
- Training & Reporting:Provide guidance and training to team members on processes and procedures. Prepare operational and financial reports as required.
- Team Leadership:Supervise and manage technicians, including manpower planning, performance monitoring, coaching, and development. Support recruitment, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations. Promote a strong safety and performance culture.
- Other Duties:Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Must possess a validBO Chargeman (11kV)Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Supply Act, Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, and IEE Wiring standards.
- Hands-on experience in electrical systems, as well as basic mechanical system operations and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 is an added advantage.
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple sites under tight timelines.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
