Assistant Manager/Manager, Technical Services (PMO – Mechanical)

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop project scopes, feasibility studies, budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and execution strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide engineering support for ride systems, ride vehicles, show equipment, and related infrastructure; review designs, specifications, and engineering submissions for operational and maintenance compliance.
- Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, site acceptance, and project handover activities.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, vendors, and OEMs; evaluate technical proposals and monitor performance to ensure compliance with quality, safety, schedule, and project requirements.
- Ensure projects meet Universal standards, ASTM, EN13814, BCA Amusement Ride Regulations, local statutory requirements, and engineering best practices; participate in risk assessments and safety reviews.
- Support inspections, testing, quality verification, and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Facilities, Procurement, and other stakeholders to minimize operational disruptions and maintain guest experience.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, challenges, and mitigation plans.
- Identify opportunities to enhance ride reliability, maintainability, safety, and lifecycle costs; capture lessons learned and contribute to improvements in engineering standards, processes, and technical documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Transportation, Theme Park, or related industries.
- Minimum 2 years of project management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in project management and execution of mechanical systems, equipment installations, or asset replacement projects.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management principles.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Able to work at heights and in operational attraction environments.
