Assistant Manager, Procurement & Contracts
Dover Park Hospice
The Procurement Manager will oversee Dover Park Hospice’s contracts and tenders, from renewal planning and vendor evaluation to contract negotiation and performance management. The role ensures that procurement activities are conducted in a transparent, value-for-money and audit-ready manner, while maintaining effective vendor relationships and compliance with procurement governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end contract renewal process, including reviewing renewal requirements, evaluating options and making renewal recommendations
- Oversee existing vendor contracts and monitor compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Lead the preparation and management of tenders, including developing tender requirements, coordinating evaluations and facilitating vendor selection
- Lead contract negotiations and review vendor performance to ensure service quality, value for money and compliance with agreed terms
- Develop and maintain the annual procurement and tender plan, ensuring timely execution of procurement activities
- Ensure procurement activities comply with DPH’s procurement policies, governance requirements and audit standards
- Provide guidance and support to the Executive, Procurement in the day-to-day management of procurement activities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement and/or contract management.
- Experience in healthcare, institutional or similar regulated environments will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with PSSCOC and contract negotiation practices will be an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external parties
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Meticulous, organised and collaborative, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
The successful candidate can expect a monthly basic salary up to $5,200, commensurate with experience.
