About You

We are looking for two experienced and driven Assistant Manager, Talent Acquisition – (1) Southern Region and (1) Northern Region to join our Talent Acquisition team.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end recruitment across the Southern Region or Northern Region, with a strong focus on Retail and high-volume hiring.

This role will support hiring requirements across multiple locations within the Southern Region, with Kempas as a key location or Northern Region, with Alor Setar as a key location. We are open to candidates who are currently based in Klang Valley or within the Southern/Northern Region, provided they are comfortable travelling regularly to support recruitment activities and business stakeholders within the region.

You will work closely with hiring managers and regional stakeholders to understand manpower requirements, build strong talent pipelines and ensure hiring needs are fulfilled within the required timelines.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful and comfortable managing multiple hiring requirements across different locations.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment process across the Southern Region or Northern Region, from sourcing and screening through interviews, offer management and onboarding coordination.
  • Drive recruitment for Retail, frontline and high-volume roles across multiple branches and locations within the region.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and business stakeholders to understand manpower requirements and develop appropriate hiring plans.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions to support current and upcoming manpower needs.
  • Utilise multiple sourcing channels including job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, social media, career fairs, walk-in interviews and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Plan and execute mass hiring activities, career fairs, walk-in interviews and on-ground recruitment campaigns across the Southern Region.
  • Monitor recruitment progress and proactively identify hiring gaps, challenges and risks, with clear action plans to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process while maintaining strong candidate engagement.
  • Manage salary recommendations, offer negotiations and offer closure in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure recruitment activities and candidate information are accurately maintained in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and comply with internal recruitment processes and policies.
  • Work collaboratively with recruiters and business stakeholders to support hiring requirements and share talent pools where relevant.
  • Develop relationships with local recruitment partners, job portals, educational institutions and other relevant talent sources within the Southern Region.
  • Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives to strengthen the talent pipeline within the region.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, recruitment processes and hiring effectiveness.

Your Know-How

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, preferably within a fast-paced and high-growth organisation.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Retail recruitment is required, including experience managing high-volume or mass hiring.
  • Experience managing recruitment requirements across multiple branches, locations or a geographical region would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple positions simultaneously.
  • Strong sourcing capability with experience using job portals, LinkedIn, social media, referrals and other sourcing channels.
  • Experience organising or supporting career fairs, walk-in interviews and large-scale recruitment activities.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the business.
  • Good understanding of recruitment processes, candidate assessment, salary negotiation and offer management.
  • Comfortable working with recruitment data, hiring reports and recruitment metrics to track hiring progress and identify areas requiring action.
  • Experience working with an ATS and recruitment platforms.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and locations simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resourceful and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Open to candidates based in Klang Valley or within the Southern Region/Northern Region, with willingness to travel regularly across the region as required.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
