Assistant Operations Manager

About the role

This is a full-time Assistant Operations Manager position at Leong Guan. As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the company's manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Operations Manager in planning, organising and directing the daily manufacturing activities
• Monitor production processes and workflows to identify and resolve any bottlenecks or issues
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to across the facility
• Analyse production data and prepare detailed reports for management
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Provide supervision and training to the production team to maintain high standards of workmanship
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics, procurement and inventory management

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing operations role, preferably in the food production industry
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality control and inventory management principles
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of production staff
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficient in data analysis and report generation using MS Office tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
