Our Transactions & Corporate Finance (TCF) practice helps organizations evaluate growth opportunities, optimize portfolios, and execute deals with confidence—from strategic diligence and valuation through integration or separation. In the public sector space, our work covers policies, economics, sector level developments, infrastructure, transformative strategies to improve operating models, and increase resilience.

The Team

You will support the Corporate Finance teams across the following areas:

We apply economics, policy, and strategic thinking to help governments, investors, and businesses solve complex challenges, assess opportunities, and make informed decisions on policy, regulation, investment, and growth. For large scale capital programs, we provide support from project evaluation to procurement, financial close, construction, and operations.

By combining expertise in corporate finance, economics, strategic planning, infrastructure, accounting and valuation - the team delivers robust insights and expert opinions to support our client agenda and decision making. These may be transactions related, regulatory driven, advisory work or disputes, arbitration and litigation matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation
  • Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
  • Develop economic and consulting toolkits including problem solving, modelling, data analytics, primary research, report writing, and effective synthesis
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to analyze economic trends, market dynamics, and industry developments. Assist in the preparation of reports, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
  • Develop and maintain economic models and databases
  • Support in developing financial plans and delivery approaches for projects involving private, public or blended financing
  • Assist team members in supporting clients from the earliest stages of project analysis and evaluation through procurement, financial close, construction, and operations
  • Stay abreast of the latest economic research, methodologies, and industry advancements
  • Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Economics, or Business related discipline
  • Experience in a consulting / client facing environment
  • Highly motivated, engaged, and analytical; demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new content areas and knowledge
  • Demonstrated passion in or basic knowledge of visualization techniques and tools (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire) and data sourcing/capture, data preparation and data transformation techniques
  • Basic understanding of analytical techniques and tools for predictive and descriptive analytics. E.g. R, Python, VBA, Alteryx. Python preferred
  • Responsible use of permitted AI tools, databases and proprietary software to facilitate decision making in a data-driven environment.
