Job Description
Assist Senior Supervisor to:
- Undertake industry-wide surveillance and assessment of market and liquidity risk developments, identification of emerging vulnerabilities and risk concentrations to support proactive supervision and timely supervisory intervention.
- Provide views and guidance on market and liquidity risk matters to support institution-specific supervision, Composite Risk Rating (CRR) assessments and supervisory decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform continuous horizontal surveillance of market and liquidity risk across the banking industry to identify emerging vulnerabilities, risk concentrations, outliers and systemic trends that may affect the safety, soundness and resilience of the financial system.
- Monitor industry-wide developments in market, liquidity and funding conditions.
- Assess emerging risk drivers, vulnerabilities and structural shifts affecting banking institutions.
- Conduct peer benchmarking, trend analyses and thematic reviews to identify supervisory concerns and areas requiring deeper assessment.
- Deliver forward-looking risk assessments and supervisory insights to support risk-based supervision and the timely identification of emerging market and liquidity risk concerns.
- Analyse industry data, supervisory information and market intelligence.
- Assess implications of evolving market conditions on banks' risk profiles.
- Escalate material findings and provide recommendations on supervisory priorities and risk mitigation measures.
- Contribute to the development, enhancement and implementation of supervisory frameworks, methodologies and regulatory initiatives relating to market and liquidity risk.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen supervisory tools and approaches.
- Support policy implementation and regulatory impact assessments.
- Promote consistency and effectiveness of supervisory practices across the banking industry.
- Establish and maintain effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information sharing, obtain risk intelligence and promote understanding of emerging market and liquidity risk developments.
- Engage with supervised institutions, industry bodies and relevant domestic and international
authorities;
- Collaborate with policy, financial markets, financial stability and frontline supervisory teams;TERHAD

Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Masters/ bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications either in accounting, economics, banking, finance, law or risk management.
- Experience: Experience in supervision, financial sector, auditing or risk management, is an added advantage.
