BIM COORDINATOR (M&E)

Job Description:

  • Perform and coordinate M&E BIM modeling for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and other building services, including model development and updates when required.
  • Coordinate M&E models with Architectural, Structural, Civil and other disciplines, identify clashes and follow up on coordination issues until resolution.
  • Maintain and update the Clash Matrix /Clash Register, including clash status, responsible parties, target resolution dates and closure records.
  • Coordinate and track design changes initiated by Specialist Works Contractors (SWCs), ensuring all approved changes are properly incorporated into the BIM models and coordinated with affected disciplines.
  • Ensure BIM models and deliverables comply with the BIM Executive Plan (BEP), project BIM standards, client requirements and relevant submission requiremens.
  • Support the BIM Manager in other BIM-related activities and ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or other relevant M&E disciplines.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant BIM experience, with strong experience in M&E BIM modelling and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Must be hands-on and capable of carrying out M&E BIM modelling independently when required.
  • Good proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and other relevant BIM/coordination software.
  • Good understanding of M&E systems, BIM coordination, clash detection, model management and drawing production.
  • Possession of relevant BIM / Digital Delivery certification is preferred.
  • Experience in developing or implementing automated BIM workflows, model checking, data extraction, parameter management and repetitive task automation will be advantageous.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
