Gene Biotechnologist (Plasmid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Leading the resolution of technical challenges encountered across various platforms within the group, including process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and handling production process anomalies, ensuring rapid problem closure and facilitating the smooth progress of production/R&D tasks.
- Independently completed experiments related to plasmid extraction, perform screening for positive colonies, sequencing, strictly follow the SOP.
- Track and analyze On-Time Delivery (OTD) and other operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of gene synthesis, plasmid extraction sequencing, and related production workflows.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
Qualification:
- Master's degree or above, with a background in bioengineering, pharmaceutical engineering, molecular biology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various professional gene synthesis software, with excellent data analysis skills.
- Proactively seek business growth points and innovation opportunities, drive continuous process optimization and efficiency improvement within the team, possess lean manufacturing knowledge, and have a growth mindset.
- Strong organizational, management, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to handle unexpected events.
- Excellent service awareness, strong execution and communication skills, and strong ability to work under pressure.

- Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
Gene Biotechnologist (Ligation)
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation and ensuring the completion of assigned daily experimental tasks for the ligation team (includes both linearization and ligation and transformation)
- Operation of experimental technology: Perform daily operation of tasks and any equipment with strict accordance to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the role
- Be responsible for the arrangement of the daily order sheet, sorting out and summarizing the schemes that need to be done on the day, recording the reagents/products that need to be prepared
- Record all experimental data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
- Monitor and report the status of all delegated experiments and tasks, ensuring that any handover of incomplete experiments, abnormality analysis and daily order status report is thoroughly conveyed to the supervisor or handed over to relevant personnel
- Monitor equipment status daily and report back to the team’s supervisor should abnormalities occur
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and
- Be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and to provide suggestions to the supervisor on 5S improvement and maintenance
- Provide support for the team’s optimization and innovation projects
- Be responsible for any other tasks the supervisor assigns
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as life sciences, biological chemistry etc
- Some familiarity in the use of various laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Able to work under pressure of tight timelines
- Good technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate and precise work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
