BRANCH MANAGER, INSPECTION

About you

CARSOME Academy is looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Branch Manager to lead our MV15 Inspection Service centre. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the inspection centre, ensuring seamless execution of vehicle inspections, strict adherence to quality and safety standards, and the achievement of sales and operational targets.

You will be the core driver of retail and dealer customer satisfaction, a mentor to your team, and the key coordinator for internal B2C stakeholders regarding B5 expiry renewal inspections.

Your Day-to-day

1. Operations & Scheduling Management

• Oversee and manage internal proprietary systems and tools to ensure accurate data logging, inspection reports, and smooth workflow transition.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal B2C teams to coordinate, schedule, and execute vehicle inspections specifically for B5 expiry renewal purposes.
• Maintain high efficiency in lane utilization and minimize customer wait times through smart operational scheduling.

2. People Leadership & Manpower Planning

• Strategically forecast and manage staff rosters, leave schedules, and peak-hour deployment to ensure optimal operational capacity.
• Conduct regular training, technical updates, and soft-skills mentoring for inspectors and frontline staff to elevate team performance and career growth.
• Set KPIs for the team, conduct performance reviews, and foster a highly motivated, collaborative work culture.

3. Customer Experience & Complaint Resolution

• Provide exceptional service to both retail walk-ins (Public) and commercial partners (Dealers), ensuring an efficient and transparent inspection experience.
• Promptly and professionally manage any escalations, disputes, or customer complaints, transforming negative experiences into positive outcomes.

4. Quality Assurance & ISO Compliance

• Audit inspection reports and physical inspection standards regularly to ensure zero compromise on data accuracy and vehicle safety assessments.
• Ensure the branch strictly adheres to ISO quality management systems, regulatory standards, and CARSOME’s internal compliance protocols.

5. Commercial & Sales Target Driven Leadership

• Drive the branch to meet and exceed monthly inspection volume and ancillary service sales targets.
• Implement local initiatives to convert public inquiries and inspections into active CARSOME ecosystem transactions.

Your Know-How

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in automotive workshop management, inspection hub operations (e.g., PUSPAKOM/MV15 frameworks), or automotive retail operations.
• Strong familiarity with vehicle inspection processes, B5/B7 Puspakom regulations, and automated inspection systems.
• Proven track record of managing a technical/frontline team, manpower planning, and conflict resolution.
• Prior experience working within ISO-certified environments is highly advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both general consumers and commercial car dealers.
• A self-starter mindset with a strong focus on achieving operational and sales KPIs.
