Business & Growth Planning Analyst - Regional Cross Border

Team Description

The team leads the growth of Shopee Taiwan's Cross Border business by partnering with key global sellers, developing high-impact growth initiatives, and driving operational excellence. It also oversees business planning through budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and commercial performance analysis to support strategic decision-making, and maximise sustainable growth and profitability. With broad ownership and extensive cross-functional collaboration, you will have the opportunity to influence key business decisions and deliver meaningful impact in one of Shopee's most strategic markets.

Job Description

• Develop monthly budgets, forecasts, and business projections to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance target setting
• Analyse P&L and commercial performance to identify key revenue and cost drivers, generate actionable insights, and improve topline growth and profitability
• Monitor business performance, market trends, and customer behaviour to uncover growth opportunities and formulate data-driven commercial strategies
• Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, Marketing, and other teams to assess commercial impact and drive strategic initiatives
• Develop dashboards and performance reports to track key business metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and enable data-driven decision-making
• Conduct financial modelling and ad hoc analyses to evaluate business initiatives and support strategic planning
• Present business insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders through clear data storytelling and financial analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; A master’s degree is advantageous but not required
• Prior internship or full-time proven experience in strategy, business/financial planning and analysis, preferably in the e-commerce, consulting or related industries is preferred
• Fast learner, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint tools. SQL is advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
