Cloud Engineer (AWS RDS)

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available relational databases, specifically AWS RDS (MySQL).
• Secure databases with best practices for encryption, access control, and patching.
• Implement cost-optimization strategies, such as rightsizing and storage management.
• Provide technical guidance and support across our internal team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business unit teams to ensure the process aligns with organization standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in relevant field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in relational databases such as MySQL, AWS RDS etc.
• Strong expertise in SQL, troubleshooting & optimization.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, Subnets, Security Group, etc).
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, backup/snapshot management and automated recovery strategies is a must.
• AWS certifications is a plus.
• Experience in P2V & EC2 to RDS migration is a plus.
• Ability to speak & converse in both English & Chinese.
