A global shipping company is seeking a Corporate Accounting and Reporting Manager to join their Singapore office.

As part of our Finance team, you will be at the centre of the Group's financial reporting, compliance, and commercial support activities, ensuring the integrity of financial information across a diverse fleet and international operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Manage month-end closing activities and oversee quarterly financial reporting for the Group and Corporate functions.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements, year-end reporting schedules, and audit deliverables.
  • Perform detailed account reviews and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Compliance, Audit & Tax

  • Lead the annual statutory audit process and coordinate with external auditors and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee statutory and tax compliance for the Group and individual shipping entities, including timely filing of tax returns and regulatory submissions.
  • Stay abreast of evolving accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements, providing guidance to ensure ongoing compliance across the organisation.

Business Partnering & Financial Analysis

  • Collaborate closely with Finance Control, Commercial, Legal, Operations, and Corporate teams to support business objectives.
  • Review and analyse monthly management reports, providing meaningful insights, performance commentary, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive informed decision-making through financial analysis and proactive identification of business risks and opportunities.

Shipping & Vessel Accounting

  • Evaluate vessel charter arrangements and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting standards.
  • Manage vessel revenue accounting activities within IMOS, including:
  • Accounts receivable invoicing
  • Charter hire collection and receipt processing
  • Voyage accruals
  • Completed voyage accounting and closures
  • Coordination with Operations and Post-Fixtures teams

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support Expected Credit Loss (ECL) assessments, doubtful debt reviews, and year-end reconciliations.
  • Lead and participate in finance transformation initiatives, process improvement projects, and ad hoc assignments across the business.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance reporting efficiency, controls, and financial governance.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree in finance or accountancy , ideally a certified accountant with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in the mairitime industry. You are someone who is hands on, has leadership potential and have strong stakeholder management abilities.
