As a Curriculum Specialist, you will provide pedagogical leadership within the centre, guide teaching teams, and contribute to curriculum innovation aligned with Odyssey’s philosophy and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Leadership and Pedagogy
- Lead the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum aligned with Odyssey’s educational philosophy
- Design and implement intentional learning experiences informed by observation, assessment, and reflective practice
- Support differentiated teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
- Guide educators in positive behaviour management practices
- Participate in curriculum review, innovation initiatives, and programme enhancement projects
Learning Environment
- Design and maintain engaging learning environments that support children’s development
- Review and improve classroom environments to ensure alignment with best practices in early childhood education
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment in accordance with regulatory requirements and centre policies
- Support compliance with relevant operational procedures and standards
Mentorship and Professional Development
- Mentor and guide educators to strengthen pedagogical competencies
- Promote collaborative practices and professional growth within the teaching team
- Model professional conduct aligned with early childhood education ethics and organisational values
Family and Community Partnership
- Build positive and professional relationships with families through regular communication
- Support home-school partnerships and centre engagement initiatives
- Participate in school events and community-related activities
Organisational Contribution
- Support the implementation of centre and brand-level goals
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and innovation projects
Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T) recognised by ECDA
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant early childhood teaching experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated interest in curriculum development and continuous professional growth
