Dealer, Institutional Equities (IE)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Dealer, Institutional Equities (IE) to join our team at RHB Investment Bank Berhad. In this role, you'll be responsible for executing equity trades and delivering efficient dealing services to institutional clients while ensuring timely, accurate, and seamless order execution. You will work closely with clients, provide market updates, maintain regulatory compliance, and contribute to exceptional client service in a dynamic capital markets environment.

What you will be doing

• Execute client orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with market regulations and internal policies.
• Strive to achieve zero or minimal trading errors through diligent trade execution and monitoring.
• Keep clients informed of order status, market developments, and prevailing market conditions in a timely manner.
• Ensure all trading-related tasks and administrative requirements are completed by the end of each trading day.
• Monitor and track trade management activities to enhance trade execution efficiency and service quality.
• Provide proactive and responsive client servicing by maintaining regular engagement with institutional clients.
• Observe, comply with, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements, rules, and industry guidelines.
• Maintain the required professional licence by attending relevant training programmes and obtaining the necessary Continuing Professional Education (CPE) points.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth trade settlement and resolution of trading-related issues.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

What we're looking for

• A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
• Preferably with at least 3 years of experience in equity dealing, stockbroking, capital markets, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the equities market, trading processes, and institutional client servicing.
• Possession of a Dealer's Representative Licence (Modules 6 and 7) is an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good contact network within the investment, fund management, institutional, or capital markets community.
• Strong numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Motivated, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities beyond assigned duties.
• A strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
