Job Description & Requirements
- Preparation of Instrument location plans, Cable routing.
- Preparation of Panel layouts, MCT drawings.
- Preparation of Cable Tray routing, Cable Tray sizing.
- Preparation of Hook-up drawings.
- Preparation of Schedules viz; cable, drum, installation etc.
- Preparation of Block Cable Diagram.
- INtools modules viz; Wiring - Loop Extraction, Hook-up module, Instrument Index.
- Preparation of instrumentation design specifications.
- Support the Senior Instrumentation Engineer in reviewing the proposed design and control systems and provide technical guidance to CAD Technicians.
- Reviews the scope of instrumentation and control work according to the contract and monitors progress of instrumentation and control design work by others and analyze data and present findings in written reports.
- Supports the Senior Instrumentation Engineer in Troubleshooting and problem-solving and performing other tasks as deemed necessary as related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Works collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff.
- Understands all related instrumentation codes, standards and best practices and their application to the project. Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities.
Qualification & Experience Generally Required
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- Equivalent Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferable in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Producer.
- Good knowledge of Electronic Instruments, PLC and DCS system.
- Knowledge of specialized software such as Smart Plant Instrumentation and AVEVA E3D etc
- Proficiency in computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.
