Reporting to the Head of Corporate Systems, the Director, Corporate Systems is a senior technology leadership role accountable for partnering with Corporate Functions and leading the strategy, transformation, delivery and operations of enterprise corporate platforms across Singtel Group.

The role combines two integrated accountabilities:

IT Business Partner for Corporate Functions. Serve as the trusted technology adviser to the People and Culture and Sustainability leadership teams. Translate business strategy into a prioritised technology roadmap and investment portfolio, with end-to-end accountability for demand, delivery, service performance, cost, risk and value realisation.

Platform Lead for Corporate Systems - People and Culture and Sustainability across Singtel, Optus and NCS. Own the platform strategy, architecture, product roadmap and lifecycle. Drive a secure, resilient and scalable common core while enabling justified local requirements; simplify and modernise the application landscape; strengthen data and integration foundations; and improve speed, employee experience and unit cost.

The Director, Corporate Systems will:

  • Shape and execute multi-year platform and technology strategies aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture, cyber security, data and cloud principles.
  • Sponsor major transformation programmes and ensure disciplined delivery, adoption, operational readiness, benefits realisation and sustainable support.
  • Establish clear governance and decision rights for demand, investment, architecture, change, service performance, risk, privacy, resilience and vendor management.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing regional team and partner ecosystem, supported by a strategic workforce and capability plan.
  • Advise and influence senior stakeholders, resolve competing priorities and make balanced decisions across business value, employee experience, cost, risk and delivery speed.

The successful candidate will combine strategic business insight, enterprise technology depth, commercial acumen and strong people leadership. They will be comfortable operating across a federated Group, influencing at executive level and translating complex technology choices into clear business outcomes.

Shape Corporate Systems strategy, business partnership and portfolio value

  • Partner with People and Culture, Sustainability and Group/OpCo leadership to understand business outcomes and translate them into an integrated, multi-year technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead demand management and portfolio prioritisation across run, grow and transform initiatives, balancing value, risk, regulatory needs, dependencies and capacity.
  • Develop robust business cases, investment proposals and outcome measures; own value and benefits realisation.
  • Provide clear executive advice on technology options, trade-offs and emerging trends.
  • Success measures: stakeholder confidence, roadmap alignment, benefits delivered, demand transparency and portfolio health.

Own platform/product strategy, architecture and lifecycle management

  • Define platform/product vision, roadmap, target architecture and lifecycle for People and Culture and Sustainability platforms across Singtel, Optus and NCS.
  • Establish common-core standards, design principles and decision rights while enabling justified local requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Drive application rationalisation, technical-debt reduction, cloud/SaaS optimisation, integration and API reuse, and data quality.
  • Lead responsible adoption of automation, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities where they improve employee experience, controls and productivity.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, privacy and data-governance requirements.
  • Success measures: adoption, reuse, simplification, reduced technical debt, data and integration quality, and unit-cost improvement.

Lead transformation delivery, adoption and change

  • Sponsor and govern complex regional programmes from business case through design, delivery, migration, go-live and stabilisation.
  • Set delivery outcomes, milestones, quality gates, controls and accountabilities across internal teams, business owners and partners.
  • Ensure business process, data, integration, testing, change, training and operational-readiness plans are fully integrated.
  • Proactively manage interdependencies, risks, issues and executive escalations.
  • Embed product and agile delivery practices where appropriate and create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Success measures: delivery to scope, time, budget and quality; user adoption; benefits realisation; and stable transition to operations.

Assure service performance, operational resilience and technology risk

  • Own end-to-end service performance and ensure production systems meet agreed SLAs, availability, performance and experience targets.
  • Establish service, incident, problem, change and release governance; drive root-cause elimination and measurable improvement.
  • Be accountable for cyber security, privacy, technology risk, audit, regulatory compliance and third-party risk within the domain.
  • Define and test business continuity, disaster recovery and operational-resilience arrangements, including critical dependencies.
  • Maintain transparent risk-acceptance and remediation plans and escalate material exposures.
  • Success measures: SLA attainment, availability, incident reduction, recovery readiness, control effectiveness and timely audit/risk closure.

Optimise financial, commercial, vendor and workforce performance

  • Manage approved OPEX and CAPEX, forecast demand and optimise total cost of ownership and unit cost.
  • Define sourcing and vendor strategy; lead commercial negotiations, contract performance, licensing optimisation and strategic partner relationships.
  • Establish KPIs, scorecards and governance to hold internal teams and vendors accountable for outcomes.
  • Build a strategic workforce plan covering organisation design, skills, succession, capacity and partner mix.
  • Coach and develop a diverse, high-performing team that operates as trusted advisers, product owners and change leaders.
  • Success measures: budget performance, savings and value capture, vendor outcomes, capability growth, engagement and retention.

Skills for Success

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant technology experience, including at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of enterprise corporate platforms and services in a large, complex or multi-entity organisation.
  • Track record of leading regional transformation programmes and enterprise SaaS/cloud implementations from strategy through adoption and operations.
  • Experience managing executive stakeholders, cross-functional teams, budgets, vendors and outsourced delivery partners.
  • Strong commercial experience in business cases, sourcing, contracts, licensing and total-cost optimisation.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, organisation development and succession planning.
