Engineer, Chlorination & Production

Duties & Responsibilities

1. To distribute works and provide guidance to Chlorination Team.
2. To follow-up and update on day to day operations of respective Section.
3. To prepare and update weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance schedule for Chlorination machineries.
4. To plan the monthly planning downtime and projects for chlorination.
5. To keep track on equipment breakdown and to plan counter-measures.
6. To ensure safety precautions on equipment operation and handling.
7. To follow-up, check and certify works completed by Chlorination Team.
8. To assist and ensuring that safety rules and regulations are adhere by Chlorination Team.
9. Liaise with Department of Environment (DOE) on environmental pollution control and Department Safety and Health (DOSH) on machinery matters and other Government or private agencies require.
10. To plan and record the condition of roofing, rain gutter, purlin, fascia, and wall cladding at F29.
11. To liaise and arrange outsource contractors for every roofing replacement job.
12. To keep the Scrubber Monitoring System in good condition and keep daily, weekly, monthly, yearly record of the maintenance job for scrubbers.
13. To plan and purchase the monthly consumption of Chlorination chemical (chlorine gas, caustic soda).
14. To ensure all Meru factories are equipped with updated CIMAH (Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazard) Report, and ERP (Emergency Response Plan) Report.
15. To liaise with certified consultant for CIMAH and ERP Report.
16. To collect all data necessary for CIMAH and ERP Report (Production, Compounding, HR, Chlorination, Security, QMS, IETS )
17. To liaise with DOSH regarding every CIMAH related matters.
