Engineer, Highway Asset (Kuala Lumpur)

Summary

To carry out Asset Inspection activities along the dedicated Section of the North South Expressway based on Master Inspection Program (MIP) and managing the Asset Inspection data for technical evaluation and reporting to ensure high quality of works and/or product being delivered to the Client thus contributing to a very good reputation and success of the department as well as to achieve KPI.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Conduct asset inspections along the North-South Expressway within the assigned region in accordance with the Master Inspection Programme and as directed by the Region Manager.
• Perform site inspections and assessments, and maintain accurate updates of the NMM Periodical Inspection (PI) and NOD databases.
• Prepare defect findings and inspection reports for submission to the client in line with the Master Inspection Programme.
• Assist the Section Leader and Region Engineer in reviewing inspection results to ensure compliance with the TEMAN system.
• Carry out third-party inspections and prepare assessment reports as required.
• Respond to emergency incidents by conducting site assessments, coordinating the necessary repair works, and preparing reports within the required timeline.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and relevant stakeholders, and undertake ad hoc assignments as directed by the Region Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or industrial training experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• Willing to travel and conduct site inspections.
