Position Responsibilities
To strengthen our safety operations by recruiting additional OSH Executives to support compliance, oversight, and on-ground implementation.
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe practices.
- Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections and compliance activities (e.g., training records, emergency drills, etc).
- Maintain occupational safety and health documents and practices to ensure it is in compliance with legal regulations, standards and requirements.
- Execute administrative tasks on MyKKP Portal, which includes workplace registrations, notification of incidents and other routine submissions.
- Provide administrative support relating to occupational safety and health to safety committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
- Assist in producing workplace inspection reports and closely monitoring the improvement actions.
- Assist in maintaining records of incidents and preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Assist in ensuring occupational safety and health documents are updated and planned activities are carried out.
- Working closely with regulatory agencies and other departments within the company to meet occupational safety and health objectives.
- Assist in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) related ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field (i.e., Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Health)
- Possessing OSH Coordinator Certification or other OSH-related certificate is an added advantage.
- 1 or 2 years of experience working in a related field.
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Well versed in OSH legislations.
- Knowledgeable in Malaysian OSH Management System.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Professional communication and writing skills.
- Fluency in English is an added advantage.
- Willing to travel throughout Malaysia.
- Able to effortlessly and independently adopt a fast-paced mindset. Must be able to work effectively and efficiently without constant monitoring and minimal supervision.
- Work well in a team and can be a productive leader to subordinates. Able to form a dynamic with the team and encourage the team members to be more energetic and progressive.
- Able to think fast and act promptly when faced with challenges and propose ideas or solutions on how to overcome complications.
- Capable of staying neutral and professional when faced with difficulties.
- Able communicate effectively with the team members, management, and other departments within the organization.
