About the role

We are seeking an Executive (SHE) to join our Safety, Health and Environment team in Kuala Ketil, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining occupational health and safety standards across our organisation. As an Executive (SHE), you will be instrumental in developing, implementing and monitoring safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. This role is essential to our commitment to protecting our workforce and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry best practices.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, implementing and reviewing occupational health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines
• Conducting workplace risk assessments and hazard identification across all operational areas
• Investigating incidents, accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Providing safety training and induction programmes to employees at all levels
• Monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations and standards
• Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, inspections and audits
• Liaising with external regulatory bodies and health and safety authorities as required
• Promoting a strong safety culture through engagement, communication and awareness campaigns
• Supporting the management of occupational health programmes and employee wellbeing initiatives
• Conducting regular safety audits and inspections of workplace facilities and equipment
• Recommending improvements to working conditions and safety procedures

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field
• Minimum 1 years of experience working in an occupational health and safety role
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian workplace safety legislation and regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, hazard identification and incident investigation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels
• Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health and safety management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive safety culture
