This is a remote role based in Malaysia, working closely with Singapore stakeholders to support our listed and unlisted funds. The working hours are from 5:00am to 2:45pm (GMT+8) including a lunch break. The role follows Singapore business days and public holiday calendar and may occasionally require work on Singapore or Malaysia public holidays based on business needs. The candidate is expected to have a stable internet connection and a quiet work environment.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Manage daily fund accounting tasks, including preparing NAV calculations and reconciling positions.
- Review and maintain fee accruals, fund accounting reports, and key documents such as the chart of accounts and trial balance.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with auditors, Singapore-based team members, and clients to support the audit process.
- Assist in preparing tax-related reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support broader fund administration activities beyond accounting and valuation, including investor servicing, cash administration, corporate actions, static data maintenance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in system enhancement initiatives as needed.
- Maintain robust documentation and process controls suitable for remote work.
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related field, or a professional accounting qualification.
- At least two years of fund accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of Singapore FRS/IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with portfolio/accounting systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate strong self‐management, with disciplined adherence to checklists and timelines in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
