GENERAL MANAGER, ACADEMY
Carsome
The General Manager Academy leads the strategic expansion, full P&L, and long-term sustainability of CARSOME Academy across four business pillars: TVET Education, Commercial Training, Talent Matching, and M.V.15 Inspection. This executive role builds strategic partner networks, secures scholarship and grant funding, and drives commercial growth to position the Academy as a primary mobility workforce provider.
Your Day-to-day
Strategic Planning, Growth & Sustainability
- Develop and execute business plans to scale market share, optimize unit economics, and ensure long-term commercial self-sustainability.
- Evaluate market demands and emerging mobility technologies (e.g., EV diagnostics) to continuously innovate educational and enterprise offerings.
- Establish operating models that balance social impact and workforce development with high-margin enterprise growth.
Strategic Partnerships & Scholarship Funding
- Build executive-level relationships with government ministries, TVET bodies, automotive OEMs, and
global industry associations.
- Pitch to and secure funding from corporate CSR programs, foundations, and government agencies for
student scholarships and infrastructure grants.
- Form joint ventures and institutional alliances to integrate CARSOME Academy into regional workforce
development pipelines.
P&L & Business Performance Management
- Hold direct P&L accountability across TVET, B2B training contracts, recruitment placement fees, and
M.V.15 inspection revenues.
- Monitor quarterly financial targets, capital expenditures, operational efficiency, and cross-pillar revenue
diversification.
Four Business Pillar Operations
- TVET Education: Drive student enrollment, campus infrastructure, and accredited technical certificate
and diploma programs.
- Training Provider: Commercialize custom upskilling, technical certifications, and enterprise workshops
for automotive fleets, dealers, and corporate clients.
- Job Matching Ecosystem: Expand employer network pathways to monetize job placement services for
graduates within and beyond the CARSOME ecosystem.
- M.V.15 Inspection: Direct quality assurance, standard operating procedures, and inspector training
programs for M.V.15 vehicle standards.
Sales, Marketing & Governance
- Architect omnichannel consumer marketing campaigns and enterprise B2B sales pipelines to achieve
ambitious revenue targets.
- Ensure 100% regulatory compliance with national accreditation authorities (e.g., JPK/SKM), technical
boards, and safety standards.
- Lead, recruit, and mentor cross-functional teams spanning sales, academic affairs, partnership
development, and campus operations.
Your Know-how
- Experience: 5+ years in executive leadership within vocational education (TVET), corporate training, or automotive operations.
- Funding & Partnerships: Proven track record of securing scholarship funding, corporate sponsorships, and government training grants.
- Commercial Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of P&L management, multi-channel B2B/B2C sales, and scaling operations across multi-site networks.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, Engineering or a related field.
