As a Head Doorman, you’re not just greeting guests upon arrival - you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

The Head Doorman is responsible for leading the Doorman team in delivering a warm, personalised and seamless arrival and departure experience for all guests. The role serves as one of the first and last points of contact for guests and plays an important role in creating a memorable luxury hotel experience.

The Head Doorman ensures that all arrival, departure, vehicle and luggage assistance services are carried out efficiently and in accordance with the hotel’s luxury service standards and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Provide personalised assistance to guests entering and leaving the hotel.
  • Open and close vehicle doors, assist guests with luggage and offer support with transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of guest preferences, special occasions and individual requirements.
  • Provide accurate information regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, transportation and other guest services.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to create a seamless experience.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns and feedback professionally and escalate matters when appropriate.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset
  • Physically fit to lift and carry luggage safely
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for service
  • Proficient in English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with hotel amenities, local attractions, and transport options preferred
