Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and employee disputes, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Support and represent the organisation in employment-related cases involving regulatory authorities, tribunals, and external stakeholders.
- Drive compliance with industrial relations policies, procedures, employment laws, and governance standards while mitigating organisational risks.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary decisions.
- Support union engagements, collective agreement implementation, consultations, negotiations, and proactive resolution of industrial relations issues.
- Develop tools, guidelines, and training initiatives while coaching HR teams and managers to strengthen employee relations capability across the business.
- Monitor IR trends, analyse workforce risks, support human rights compliance, and provide actionable insights to improve workplace practices and employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 3 to 8 years of progressive HR experience with hands-on Industrial Relations / Employee Relations experience.
- Experience coaching HR colleagues, reviewing case documentation and coordinating multiple concurrent cases is required.
- Relevant professional certification or structured training in employment law, investigations, mediation or collective bargaining is advantageous.
