Industrial Reliability Engineer

The Industrial Reliability Engineer helps to improve Mamee's manufacturing productivity, manpower efficiency, equipment reliability, and process flow by applying industrial engineering, reliability engineering, Lean, TPM, and data analytics methods.

  1. Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Improve productivity, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Streamline workflows and standardize work processes
  • Lead RCA for chronic losses and recurring breakdowns.
  • Support layout optimization, automation justification, and manpower reduction projects.
  • Analyze production flow, bottlenecks, cycle time, manpower utilization, and line balancing.
  • Improve OEE through loss analysis and reliability improvement.
  • Monitor MTBF, MTTR, breakdown trends, and repeat failure patterns.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Support automated line commissioning, start-up, and performance stabilization.
  • Improve automation reliability and reduce control-related downtime.
  • Work with OEMs and system integrators for upgrades and modifications.
  • Support MES, SCADA, data acquisition, and Industry 4.0 integration.
  • Ensure backup of PLC programs, control drawings, and automation documentation.
  1. Facility Layout & Material Flow Design
  • Design efficient factory layouts.
  • Optimize material movement and warehouse operations.
  • Reduce transportation and handling costs.
  • Support new plant expansions and facility redesign projects.
  1. Cost Reduction & Productivity Enhancement
  • Conduct time study, motion study, capacity analysis, and productivity improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce labor, material, and operational costs.
  • Perform value engineering studies.
  • Improve machine utilization and process efficiency.
  • Support CAPEX justification with productivity analysis.
  1. Automation and Digitalization / Digitization Opportunities Identification
  • Conduct automation feasibility studies.
  • Identify manual, repetitive, ergonomic, and non-value-added activities.
  • Develop automation roadmaps for factories.
  • Prioritize projects based on ROI and business impact.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3– 8 years experience in manufacturing improvement or reliability role in FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset. Experience in Time & Motion Study, Work Measurement, Capacity Planning , Line Balancing, Layout Optimization , Productivity Improvement, Cost Reduction Projects.
  • Knowledge in automation concepts, material handling system, pneumatic , servo motor & robotic system. Understand Vision inspection systems.
  • Experienced in lean manufacturing and TPM focused improvement.
