Industrial Trainee – Electronics/Mechanical Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Industrial Trainee to join our Engineering team and gain hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The trainee will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to support daily engineering activities, production processes, equipment improvement, troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Engineers in daily engineering and manufacturing activities.
• Support production and engineering teams in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
• Assist with process and equipment improvement projects.
• Collect, analyze and maintain engineering/production data.
• Support process monitoring, time studies and productivity improvement activities.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare engineering reports, presentations, work instructions and documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment-related activities where required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality improvement projects.
• Perform other engineering tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.

About you

• Currently pursuing Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLC, data analysis or semiconductor manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Minimum internship duration: 3–6 months preferred.
