How You Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, analytical, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with the Data Management & Analytics team and stakeholders across the bank to support the development and maintenance of data management assets. Your ability to understand technical concepts, analyse data, and collaborate effectively with others will help drive better data governance and improve the reliability of information used across the organisation.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data Governance Support: assist in the development and maintenance of data management assets, including data lineage, data quality, data catalogue, and taxonomy frameworks
  • Data Discovery & Analysis: support initiatives that enable data discovery, impact analysis, and improved understanding of data flows across the organisation
  • Data Quality Management: assist in monitoring and maintaining data quality standards to support accurate reporting and analytics
  • Data Lineage Management: contribute to documenting and maintaining data lineage information to improve transparency and traceability of critical data elements
  • Analytics & Reporting: support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to provide insights for business and regulatory requirements
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, validate information, and support data governance initiatives
  • Process Improvement: identify opportunities to enhance data management processes, tools, and governance practices
  • Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on other data management, data governance, and analytics initiatives as assigned

Who You Work With

The Group Data Management Office plays a critical role in strengthening the bank's data capabilities and governance framework. Within the Data Management & Analytics team, you'll work alongside data professionals who are responsible for managing enterprise data assets and ensuring data quality, transparency, and consistency across the organisation. You'll gain valuable exposure to how data supports risk management, regulatory reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making across the bank.

  • Exposure to reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding of BCBS239 principles, data governance frameworks, and their role in managing enterprise data
  • Hands-on experience with data management tools, including Data Catalogue, Data Lineage, and Data Quality platforms
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance practices within a leading financial institution

  • Experience supporting data discovery, impact analysis, and data quality initiatives
