Inventory Executive

About the role

We are seeking an Inventory Executive to join Dindings Poultry Development Centre Sdn. Bhd. in Lumut, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. As an Inventory Executive, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, monitoring inventory movements, and ensuring accurate record-keeping across our poultry operations. This position is integral to supporting our operational efficiency and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy
• Manage inventory levels to minimise stockouts and overstock situations
• Process and track purchase orders and receiving of goods
• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials
• Assist in the organisation and arrangement of storage areas to maximise space utilisation
• Prepare inventory reports and analysis for management review
• Support the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve inventory-related issues

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in inventory management or a similar warehouse/logistics role
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of stock control principles and inventory best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Physical capability to handle inventory tasks and movement of stock
• A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable
• Familiarity with the poultry or agricultural industry is advantageous
