Job Overview:
As our IT Vendor Manager, you will be part of a team of go-getters and do-gooders, and work in very close proximity (literally and figuratively) with our co-minions from Procurement team, vendor and stakeholders.
Your work life:
- Vendor relationship management
- Develop and maintain strategic relationship with vendors.
- Act as primary escalation points for vendor-related issues and disputes.
- Conduct regular vendor business reviews and governance meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Vendor performance management
- Define and monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational level agreements (OLAs).
- Track vendor performance against contractual commitments.
- Prepare and present vendor scorecards and performance reports to management.
- Identify service gaps and implement corrective action plans.
- Procure regular reports on vendor performance, risk and compliance metrics.
- Vendor issue management
- Manage and lead the investigation of vendor-related issues, including identifying root causes, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize operational and customer impact.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions with vendors, monitor remediation progress, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor performance, service quality, and compliance.
- Contract & commercial management
- Manage the full lifecycle of vendor contracts such as execution, renewal and termination.
- Ensure contractual terms are adhered to both vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor contract expiration dates and renewal requirements.
- Support commercial negotiations to achieve cost savings and value optimization.
- Periodically review and update framework agreement template and statement of work align with business objective, law and regulatory compliance.
- Stakeholder management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor onboarding and offboarding inquiries.
- Provide guidance to business users on vendor lifecycle requirements and processes.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain required documentation and resolved onboarding issues.
- Support cross functional teams in vendor related audits and investigations.
- Governance and reporting
- Responsible for maintaining vendor onboarding and offboarding documentation, preparing operational reports and dashboards to support performance monitoring and decision-making, and assisting with internal and external audits related to vendor management processes to ensure compliance, transparency, and effective governance.
- Vendor onboarding management
- Manage the end-to-end vendor onboarding process, including reviewing registration requests, validating documentation, conducting due diligence and screening checks, maintaining vendor records in SAP and vendor management systems, updating vendor registration templates, and ensuring onboarding activities are completed within agreed SLAs.
- Vendor due diligence and compliance management
- Oversee vendor risk assessment and compliance activities by monitoring operational, cybersecurity, financial, and regulatory risks. Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement requirements, and information security standards; coordinate audits, risk reviews, remediation activities, and maintain governance documentation and risk registers.
- Vendor data management
- Maintain accurate vendor master data across systems by managing updates to banking, company, and contract information. Conduct regular data quality reviews and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with data governance, record retention, and regulatory requirements.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, supply chain management or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in IT procurement, IT vendor management or Information Technology.
- Skills: Possess profound knowledge on enterprise IT environment and managed services.
- Attributes: Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
