Our Asia facilities are seeking a Lead Engineer to support the manufacturing of Advance Purity Solution (APS) products for the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will lead the commissioning and qualification of new processes and equipment for high‐volume production and evaluate manufacturing sites for strategic global footprint planning
What You’ll Do
Product & Process Engineering - Technical Execution of Validation and Qualification
- Lead Validation and Qualification (V&Q) activities for product qualifications associated with new expansions.
- Guide installation and commissioning of production‐scale equipment following IQ/OQ protocols.
- Develop and qualify processes on new equipment to meet KPOV targets.
- Design and run experiments, applying statistical tools to analyze data, support development, and optimize processes.
- Ensure operational readiness for new expansions.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve yield, increase capacity, and minimize variation.
- Maintain a regular presence on the manufacturing floor to provide sustaining support, resolve issues, and drive root‐cause analysis.
- Lead technical evaluations, perform analyses, and implement process solutions to complex problems in a data‐driven, risk‐based culture.
- Conduct analyses and audits to recommend improvements in safety, quality, cost, waste reduction, and efficiency.
- Help direct and control processes according to defined policies and procedures.
- Oversee customer and internal sample management for product qualification builds.
Project/Technical Leader - Cross‐Functional Leadership, Collaboration & Project Management
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams—Operations, R&D, Quality, Equipment & Automation, Facilities, and EH&S—to execute product qualifications.
- Serve as a Project/Technical Leader: develop project plans, drive cross‐functional alignment, and lead projects to timely completion.
- Influence and guide multidisciplinary teams.
- Take on broad assignments with limited direction on critical issues.
- Partner with cross‐functional teams to deliver improvements that meet design, manufacturing, and Stage‐Gate requirements with strong focus on quality and safety.
- Manage multiple projects across the product portfolio.
- Manage projects within the Accolade system and support others in meeting assigned tasks.
- Interface with global customers and sister facilities to align requirements, resolve issues, and ensure launch readiness.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Engineers and other team members.
Operation Readiness – Documentation & Operational Support
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including drawings, SOPs, test procedures, and test data.
- Support process documentation for product launch and manufacturing.
- Work directly with Production and Operations teams to ensure manufacturing readiness of new products and support transition from early development to release.
Strategic Global Footprint Planning
- Evaluate global manufacturing sites, capabilities, cost structures, and risk profiles to support business growth and long-term strategic objectives
- Identify and lead footprint optimization opportunities across Asia operations, including site expansion, regionalization, and capacity rebalancing initiatives
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% to support strategic assessments, site evaluations, and implementation activities
What We Seek
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with filtration‐related manufacturing processes.
- Six Sigma certification and proficiency in statistical data analysis using MINITAB or similar tools.
- At least 10 - 15 years of manufacturing experience, including leadership of processes and/or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical problem‐solving skills and hands‐on technical capability.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
- Background in lean manufacturing.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving business needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within cross‐functional teams.
- Proficiency in SPC, FMEA, and V&Q processes.
- Ability to lead collaboratively, inspire teams, prioritize effectively, and drive execution.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Subject‐matter expertise in filtration manufacturing processes.
- Proven success in qualifying new facilities, equipment, processes, or products.
