Lead (Retail Media Business Development)
FairPrice Group
Job description
Lead (Retail Media Business Development)
Role Overview
As the Lead (Retail Media Business Development), you are the commercial engine of the RMN. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a heavy-hitter who doesn't just sell "space" but sells business outcomes using first-party retailer data. Leveraging 10–15 years of publisher-side experience, you will be responsible for setting the regional sales strategy and driving high-value partnerships with the world’s largest FMCG/CPG brands and their holding company agencies.
You will position our unique closed-loop measurement capabilities as the premier solution for driving both brand equity and bottom-of-the-funnel conversion, acting as a market evangelist for the FPG Advantage platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Revenue Leadership
- Commercial Strategy: Define the annual sales roadmap, including territory planning, category prioritization, and revenue forecasting.
- Consultative Selling: Move beyond CPM-based selling to discuss ROAS, iROAS (Incremental ROAS), and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) with Brand Managers and CMOs.
- The "Closed-Loop" Pitch: Articulate the power of connecting digital ad exposure to actual point-of-sale (POS) data, both online and in-store.
2. Agency & Stakeholder Governance
- Agency Ecosystems: Navigate and own relationships with Holding Co. Commerce Leads and Investment Heads to secure "Always-On" budgets.
- Cross-Functional Advocacy: Partner with the Head of Business Operations and Product teams to ensure the sales feedback loop informs the RMN product roadmap.
- Joint Business Plans (JBPs): Lead the negotiation and execution of multi-year JBPs that align our RMN capabilities with client product launch cycles and seasonal peaks.
3. Market Excellence & Team Mentorship
- Thought Leadership: Represent FPG at industry events, positioning the network as a leader in the cookieless, data-driven future.
- Sales Enablement: Mentor senior account managers on complex closing techniques and high-level narrative building.
