About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Legal Associate to join our legal and compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified lawyer or a lawyer with up to one year of post-qualification experience to work alongside experienced Singapore-qualified legal counsel supporting clients across a range of regulated industries and jurisdictions.

The role offers broad exposure to legal and compliance matters, including regulatory, licensing, commercial and day-to-day legal advisory work. You will be part of a collaborative and collegiate team that values professional development, practical problem-solving and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support legal counsel on a wide range of legal and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist with regulatory and licensing projects, including preparing applications, submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research and prepare summaries, memoranda and client-facing advice.
  • Review, draft and assist with negotiation of commercial agreements and related legal documentation.
  • Support ongoing business-as-usual legal and compliance activities, including policy reviews, governance matters and internal advisory work.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist with implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of practical, commercially focused legal advice to clients operating in regulated environments.

Requirements

  • Singapore-qualified lawyer.
  • Newly qualified (NQ) to 1 year post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong academic credentials and legal drafting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in corporate, regulatory, compliance or financial services-related matters would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to regulated industries or transactional work is beneficial but not essential.

We are open to candidates from a variety of legal backgrounds. More important than specific prior experience is a genuine interest in developing expertise in legal and regulatory advisory work, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn from experienced practitioners.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work closely with experienced Singapore-qualified legal counsel.
  • Exposure to a diverse range of legal and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • A supportive, collegiate and collaborative working environment.
  • Meaningful responsibility and opportunities for professional growth from an early stage in your career.
  • Ongoing mentoring and development within a highly experienced team.
