Job Summary
- For Account Payable and Receivable functions to ensure timely payment and collection in accordance with company's policy, internal control and applicable accounting standards for companies supported by centralised Team.
- Provides strong leadership to the team to ensure department runs smoothly with invoices being processed timely and accurately and issues/ disputes are resolved.
- Be a strong business partner providing financial support to other departments e.g. procurement, supply chain and Corporate Quality to jointly achieve company's goals.
Job Description
- Lead, train and motivate the team to ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, in compliant to the policy, and vendors are paid per due dates without complaints nor downtime due to late payment, and collections from customers are timely without aged/ bad debt.
- Ensure vendors & customers reconciliations (inclusive of inter-companies) are done timely during monthly and quarterly accounts closing. Also Work closely and follow up with relevant users/departments to resolve disputed items.
- As a business partner and liaison manager, in relation to payment with internal departments or divisions (Example: GTP, SCM, PPC, GHR, GIA and GQ) and external parties such as vendors, financial institutions and regulatory bodies (BANKs, AUDITOR, KASTAM, MOF)
- Oversee monthly account closing on accruals are properly justified and correctly posted and ensure period closing activities are completed accurately and timely in accordance with work instructions and checklist.
- Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are observed. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of General Ledger for trade and non-trade creditors' inclusive of inter-companies' and other payable/ receivable related accounts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, IT or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in Finance and Accounting functions, preferably in the Automotive Industries.
Specific Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of relevant computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
- Hardworking and responsible person.
- Strong analytical skill and sound professional judgment.
- Able to work under minimum supervision and within tight deadlines.
- Candidate must be able to work in Tanjung Malim.
