Position Summary

Manager, Financial Line, should be proficient to handle all classes of business within the Financial Lines ("Fin Lines") spectrum, such as Directors & Officers / Assocation Liability, Cyber, Professional Indeminity etc. The candidate will lead the development and growth of the Company's Fin LInes portfolio, including providing client advisory, designing suitable insurance programs/structures for clients, supporting incident response planning and risk management/consulting, negotiating with markets, keeping abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends & insights, as well as driving business development. The role requires deep knowledge of financial lines, primarily in D&O and Cyber.

The candidate would be a trusted adviser who can help their clients bridge their risk exposures with insurance and risk management. The candidate should be able to translate complex technical risks into practical insurance solutions for his/her clients, negotiate effectively with insurers, and grow a profitable Fin Lines insurance portfolio. He/She would also have a strong network across insurers, appropriate service providers where applicable (such as legal/PR/crisis advisors, cyber incident response providers etc) enabling them to support clients before, during, and after any incidents, to ensure continuity in their operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Advisory & Risk Consulting
  • Advise clients on financial lines products
  • Deep knowledge on primarily D&O and Cyber insurance
  • Identify clients' risk exposures and recommend suitable insurance solutions
  • Review, explain and evaluate policy wordings, exclusions, sub-limits, and endorsements to clients
  • Present risk transfer options and make recommendations to clients, C-Suite Executives and Boards
  • Manage and foster overall client relationship
  1. Insurance Program Design
  • Structure financial lines and cyber insurance programmes for SMEs, multinational corporations, financial institutions, healthcare, manufacturing, technology companies, and public sector organisations
  • Ability to foster strong and sustainable business relationships with the insurance market, negotiate with the insurance markets and evaluate quotes to achieve best competitive terms for the clients
  • Analyse coverage gaps
  • Recommend approprirate policy limits
  • Review and recommend policy renewal terms and enhancements
  1. Underwriting & Placement
  • Prepare underwriting submissions and all necessary documentation eg slips
  • Review clients' financial lines and cybersecurity posture
  • Liaise with insurers and/or clients on underwriting questions
  • Negotiate premiums and terms
  • Manage and foster insurer relationships
  1. Financial Lines and Cyber Claims Management
  • Support clients during any incidents, in collaboration with the Company's Claims team
  • Coordinate with various parties including but not limited to (where applicable):
  • Inicident response firms

  • Crisis communication firms

  • Assist clients throughout the claims process, together with the Company's Claims team

Qualifications
