Manager, Group Legal

To oversee and ensure that all legal functions are carried out efficiently and effectively and to ensure a smooth workflow in OSK Holdings Berhad and all subsidiaries, existing and to be established (“Group”).

Job Responsibilities :

• Manage and monitor litigation matters of the OSK Group related to property and construction in tribunal, adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings, including drafting and reviewing cause papers, liaising with external solicitors, and providing regular updates on litigation matters to Management.
• Support the Property and Construction business units in various legal areas, including legal research and advisory services relating to project development, tenancies, and construction-related matters.
• Draft, review, advise on and/or negotiate a broad range of legal and commercial agreements, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consultancy agreements, tenancy and property-related agreements, marketing and collaboration agreements, and other legal documents required by the OSK Group.
• Advise on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, share sales, joint ventures, etc.
• Research legal cases, legal developments and legislation to keep abreast of applicable laws relating to the OSK Group's businesses and operations, and advise on their impact, including any compliance requirements arising from such changes or updates.
• Provide legal support on ad hoc matters, strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects as required and instructed from time to time.

Requirements :

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification. Admission to the Malaysian Bar is preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years' relevant legal experience, with experience and knowledge of applicable laws relating to property development, including construction, strata, housing, commercial and land matters.
• Experience in corporate transactions is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong drafting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
