Manager Legal (Energy & Offshore)

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a Manager, Legal (Energy & Offshore) to manage legal services for the Offshore Business division, safeguard the Company’s commercial interests and provide practical legal support across projects, procurement, operations and disputes.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Draft, review and negotiate contractual documents and provide legal advice and opinions.
• Support strategic and complex transactions, including joint ventures, partnerships and acquisitions.
• Provide legal support for project procurement exercises, tender evaluations and contractual deviations.
• Advise on operational and post-contractual matters, including fact-finding and document review.
• Manage disputes and litigation, including external counsel representing MISC Group locally and abroad.
• Develop legal templates and guidelines to improve service efficiency.
• Support team development through relevant training and on-the-job learning opportunities.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor of Laws.
• 10 to 12 years of experience in general, corporate or commercial legal services.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, procurement and dispute management.
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial and operational considerations.
• Maritime and oil and gas industry experience is an added advantage.
