Manager, Project

As a Project Manager, your primary role is to develop and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manages all project activities to ensure compliance with the project specifications, drawings, plans, works program, schedules, QNQC, safety and specific requirements as well as to achieve timely completion of the works and within allocated budget.
- Manages the workflow of all staff involved in the project team including contracts, purchasing, logistics, construction, project administrative staff, engages and manages specialist consultants as required.
- Prepares and monitors the master program, procurement and trade letting schedule and monitors the construction progress against the critical path.
- Obtain all necessary statutory approvals and certifications from relevant authorities.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, relevant required documentations and presentations.
- Conducts project post-mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify the successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Requires to visit site to attend site meetings and resolve site issues.
- To manage the team of consultants, contractors in periodic meeting, workshop and discussion.
- Good understanding of Building Contract including liability, rights and implementation method.
- To assist and manage the project within the direction and strategy set forth by the superior.
- To create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing requirements.
- To manage resources in conjunction with functional managers, production and internal stakeholders.
- To manage day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope.
- To effectively monitor and manage project risk through mitigation planning.
- To monitor and report of schedule, cost profitability and cashflow.
- To implement quality assurance procedures as set out in company policy.
- To ensure project documents are complete, kept up to date and archived as per company policy.
General
- To implement all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as so defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.
- Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior/management.
Requirement:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related disciplines.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in property development, construction or consultancy company.
- Experience in handling sizeable and premium residential projects is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess sound knowledge and experience in conducting feasibility studies, project planning, tendering, contract administration, construction methodology and/ or authority liaisons.
- Proficiency in using CAD softwares such as AutoCAD etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
- A team player and at the same time able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage with conflicting expectations, prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.
