Overview:

Oversees daily operations and service execution within Mortgage Funding while driving unit process automation, system enhancements, and operational risk compliance. This role combines hands-on operational management—including backup processing during manpower shortages—with leading key transformation initiatives to streamline mortgage disbursement workflows.

The successful candidate will report to Head – Retail Operation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional (job responsibilities)

• Operational Oversight & Manpower Backup: Lead daily administration and SLA management to maintain processing accuracy. Actively provide direct capacity planning and operational backup during volume spikes and manpower shortages.
• Process Automation & Continuous Transformation: Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) implementation and continuous system transformation for mortgage disbursements, with a focus on LOADS auto-disbursements.
• Compliance, Risk Management & Governance: Conduct SOP reviews, audit oversight, and compliance checks. Serve as the designated RCSA Checker and Operational Risk Representative (ORR).
• Business Continuity & Operational Resilience: Function as primary person-in-charge for BIA, LOD threshold monitoring, BCP maintenance, DRP testing, and annual Risk Assessments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Escalation: Act as the primary operational contact across internal departments and resolve high-priority loan processing escalations.

Jobholder Requirements

• Malaysian citizen.

Education/Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

Experience/Requirements

• 5–8+ years of retail/consumer banking operations experience, with an operational focus on Mortgage Processing, Loan Disbursement, and Funding.
• Hands-on experience leading Straight-Through Processing (STP) implementations, process automation, and system migrations.
• Experience supervising operational teams, managing workload allocation, and providing hands-on processing backup.
• Strong management, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Sound problem-solving, decision-making skills, and a good command of English.
