MES Engineer

Position Summary

The MES Engineer will oversee the development and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enhance manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate should have experience working on MES or in a manufacturing computer team environment, a knack for problem-solving within manufacturing environments and who are skilled in cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain the MES system.
• Implement B2B Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and reporting functions.
• Conduct source code reviews and manage codebases.
• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development for Windows and web applications.
• Strong teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in C++, C#.Net, ASP.NET, Python, and database management systems like Oracle and MS-SQL.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., assembly, testing, shipping).
• Experience with smart factory implementations or MES deployment is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
