Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Consultant role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Mortgage Consultant will advise customers on mortgage products, assess their financial needs, and recommend suitable lending solutions in line with Maybank’s policies and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing customers, explaining mortgage terms and conditions, preparing and processing loan applications, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely approvals and disbursements. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring application status, and following up proactively to provide clear updates to customers. The Mortgage Consultant is expected to deliver high-quality customer service, contribute to sales targets, and uphold Maybank’s standards of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgages, with the ability to explain products and processes clearly to customers.
  • Experience or training in Finance and Mortgage Lending, including credit assessment and understanding of regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and building long-term relationships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and numerical skills for evaluating financial information and supporting sound lending decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in basic office software and banking systems; familiarity with Malaysian banking regulations is an advantage.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
