Key responsibilities

Handle day-to-day shipping operations and documentation to ensure shipments are executed accurately and on schedule
Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, ship brokers, ship owners, agents, surveyors, insurance companies and other stakeholders to support smooth loading, shipment and delivery
Prepare, review and follow up on shipping documents, including letters of credit, bank negotiations and collection documentation
Track and follow up on shipping claims, demurrage matters and related operational issues to ensure prompt resolution

Diploma or Degree in any discipline
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in shipping operations, trade operations or a related field
Experience in commodity trading, letters of credit and shipping documentation will be an added advantage
Meticulous, responsible and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in English
Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role requires liaison with China counterparts
