Procurement Lead

Position Purpose
To lead and oversee the Company’s procurement function, ensuring strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, building maintenance, and waste management activities are executed effectively across all restaurant’s outlets and corporate facilities nationwide. The role is responsible for driving cost optimization, supplier performance, operational efficiency, governance, and sustainability initiatives while supporting business growth, new restaurant development, remodeling projects, and ongoing restaurant operations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the Company’s business objectives, growth plans, and operational requirements.
- Lead sourcing, purchasing, contract management, building maintenance, repair, and waste management functions across the organization.
- Establish and manage strategic relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Drive cost savings, value engineering, and procurement process improvements while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Ensure procurement governance, compliance, and risk management practices are effectively implemented.
- Oversee procurement support for NSO, restaurant remodeling, building maintenance, and operational requirements.
- Lead sustainability initiatives related to procurement practices, waste management, and environmental compliance.
- Develop and mentor procurement team members to enhance organizational capability and performance.
Core Responsibilities
i. Strategic Procurement Leadership
- Develop and execute procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and process automation.
- Monitor market trends, supply risks, and industry developments to support informed procurement decisions.
ii. Vendors Management
- Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers, contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Lead commercial negotiations for major procurement contracts and service agreements.
iii. Contract & Commercial Management
- Oversee tendering, contract administration, commercial evaluations, and contract governance.
- Ensure contract risks are identified, mitigated, and managed effectively.
- Review and approve major contract awards, variations, and commercial recommendations (based on Limit of Authority).
iv. Waste Management & Sustainability
- Establish and oversee waste management strategies, including waste disposal, grease management, and environmental compliance programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives and reduce environmental impact.
v. Financial & Cost Management
- Develop and manage procurement and maintenance budgets.
- Drive cost savings and value engineering initiatives across procurement categories.
- Provide management with regular reporting and analysis on procurement performance and opportunities.
- Key Performance Indicators
- Annual procurement cost savings achieved.
- Procurement expenditure managed within approved budgets.
- Value engineering savings achieved for NSO, remodeling and other operational projects.
- Timely completion of tender exercises and contract awards.
- Compliance with waste management and environmental regulations.
- Employee engagement and retention within the procurement team.
