Procurement Senior Executive

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, supplier negotiation, purchase orders, and order execution.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, lead time, reliability, supply capability, and service performance.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and supply continuity.
- Conduct market surveys, price comparisons, and competitor benchmarking to ensure price competitiveness and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Analyse sales performance, inventory levels, market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to support procurement and category decisions.
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, delivery arrangements, and other commercial conditions within assigned categories.
- Monitor purchase orders and supplier deliveries, proactively addressing delays, shortages, pricing discrepancies, or other supply-related issues.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and purchasing performance.
- Take ownership of assigned categories by proactively identifying issues, recommending solutions, and supporting continuous business improvements.
- Work closely with Merchandising, Inventory, Operations, Finance, and other relevant teams to support product availability and business requirements.
- Manage multiple procurement activities and priorities independently while ensuring deadlines and business requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, or Category Management, preferably within retail, FMCG, supermarket, hypermarket, convenience store, or other high-volume consumer businesses.
- Experience managing multiple suppliers, products, or SKUs in a fast-paced purchasing environment is preferred.
- Strong experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Good understanding of pricing, commercial terms, inventory levels, lead times, market trends, and supply continuity.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favourable purchasing terms.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to analyse sales, inventory, pricing, market trends, and supplier performance to support purchasing decisions.
- Proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive improvements within assigned categories.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
